It’s Friday! The best day ever and we get one every week, how great it that?! I thought I would share a “Friday Favorite” with you, maybe I will even start doing one every Friday. This time it is a favorite recipe, I stumbled upon this little recipe on Pinterest, there are multiple pins with the exact same recipe from different blogs and sites so I’m not sure who to give credit to as far as the origin, but if I did I would, because it is amazing!
4 Ingredient Crock Pot Roast is now and forever will be one of my “go-to” recipes.
It is crazy simple and I know what you are thinking, 3 packet mixes and 1/2 cup of water, really? Yes, really! It is so super easy to “make”, I say “make” because you almost aren’t doing anything and it is still heavenly.
I go ahead and put my carrots, potatoes, and onion in the crock pot and pour the mixture over everything. When you are making it you will be thinking “this is not enough liquid”, it is, I promise, unless your roast is much larger than the recipe calls for or if you are putting in a ton of veggies. I have this in my crock pot at home right now for dinner tonight, this is the first time I doubled the mixture because I did add a lot more veggies than usual. I am not a big carrot fan, but I love the flavor these have once they are cooked so I wanted to have left over carrots to pair with something else. I also wanted to mention that this recipe says to cook on low for 8 hours, I usually put mine on during my lunch break on high and it is ready for dinner about 5 hours later.
If you try it and love it (or hate it) comment and let me know. That’s it for my first Friday Favorite, have a great weekend!
